The Beautiful Khandua 3ply Silk Saree comes in a classic
contrast of Green and Yellow. Khandua is again another form of Odisha Handloom
Saree. The Anchal has the traditional handloomed Khandua work. The Pattachitra Motifs
is done above the aanchal which falls on front part of the body. The same
motifs are done on the pleats to enhance the look of the patli. Same motifs are
also done on the body. The saree has a yellow Khandua border all through out
the body.
The saree doesnt come
with a blouse piece.

Involved : The Beautiful Art Form involved in the creation of this master
piece is "Pattachitra". It is an age old art form of
Odisha. These paintings are based on themes and stories from Hindu
Mythology. Interestingly, the word "Pattachitra" is derived
from two words "Patta" meaning Canvas
and "Chitra" meaning painting. It is manifested by rich
colourful application, creative motifs and designs and portrayal of simple
themes, mostly mythological in depiction.
